Transform paintings into prints on paper through the art of mono-printing. Students will learn how to paint onto film and print a single image onto paper to create beautiful textures. They will explore ways to work into prints to develop layered works.

Unravel the mystery of traditional textile dying using mordants to create pattern and designs on textiles. Mordants are metallic salts applied to textiles, painted or printed on prior to immersion dyeing. You will learn how to make a dye bath using natural plant material and design your own textile art.

Learn the techniques of the European Masters in this workshop. Students will learn how to make their own solvent free oil paint using natural and non-toxic pigments. They will learn about the history of artists pigments and how paints were traditionally made, and painting techniques.

Egg tempera is the original board painting medium and pre-dates oil paint. Students will learn how to make this safe and healthy archival paint and explore how to paint with this unique medium that sits between oil, acrylic and watercolor paint.
